Modular Panorama Picture series
Star Temple, 2009
Exhibited at the Toronto Art Expo,09, where I was an invited featured artist.
Dimensions: 8x8 ft (2.5 inch thick)
Materials: Stones, crystals, concrete, fibre optics, LED.
Indoor. Outdoor application is possible only if protected by a glass enclosure.
Mounting: Wall mount
Both the Star Temple and Blue belong to the Modular Picture series, which are basically wall-mounted, pre-fabricated art works that may be simply installed at the site. Multiples of them may fill the entire wall. In this example, four panels are joint together. Their energy consumption is very low (10-30W).
Fibre optics and LED back-illuminated quartz crystals illuminate the Star Temple. Light reflected off the mirrored glass beads blends with the transmitted LED light.
